How we got started
The Small Steps Story
About Kaylyn Weber, M.S., BCBA
Kaylyn Weber began her journey serving the neurodivergent community in 2015 and went on to earn her Master of Science in Educational Psychology. Over the years, she discovered her passion for helping children find their voices, build meaningful relationships, and access goals that once felt out of reach.
After working alongside several incredible, locally owned ABA clinics, Kaylyn founded Small Steps to bring compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming care directly into families’ homes. Her goal was simple—create a space where caregivers and professionals can work hand-in-hand to support children in ways that feel natural, playful, and empowering.
About Small Steps
Founded in 2024, Small Steps was created with one clear mission: to serve the military and wider community through compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming ABA services. We focus on helping young learners grow their communication, social, and coping skills—all within the comfort of their home environment.
By meeting families where they are, we make learning collaborative, meaningful, and fun. At Small Steps, every child’s growth—no matter how small—is celebrated as something big.

What are your operating hours?
ABA services are provided in the home setting between the hours of 8:00 AM- 5:30 PM PCT.
Is ABA right for my child?
ABA can be a powerful therapy that teaches many important skills in a child’s life. During our initial meeting and initial assessment, we will have extensive conversation, observation, and assessment to determine if ABA is right for your child.
How is ABA different than Speech or Occupational Therapy
ABA is primarily focused on teaching children how to learn new behaviors to improve their quality of life. Sometimes, that can look like language therapy or even incorporate sensory integration therapy. Ultimately, a great ABA program is designed collaboratively with other professionals. Small Steps encourages a multidisciplinary approach, meaning collaboration with all other support persons on the child’s team.
